Strangely I have drawn a blank when coming to write this page! I took up sculpting on a whim about a year ago now, and really enjoy the relaxation it gives me. It’s a bit of a rollercoaster ride making one though, from the slow ‘what am I going to do now’ to the gaining momentum as it begins to take form. Then there’s a lull, where I strive for (my) perfection, but also a tugging as I want to finish the piece. Then, finally, there is the climax, it’s done, but now there is the fall, down the other side, back to the beginning of the ride!
Perhaps i’ll alter this once I know what to say!
Please just look at my posts…I hope you like my sculpts. Sometimes I do, sometimes I do not. I’m still learning.
That sounds like a pretty good description of art and creating in general. Don’t worry about getting everything perfect– that’ll just hold you back. Stay loose, try to have fun with every piece you do. You’ll master a lot of the technical details over time. Onward, keep smiling! : )
Cool sculptures! Can’t wait to see more of them! 🙂
Thanks… I’m working on a nice one now (I like it anyway) and my first stone one is coming along well. Cheers!
